Leisure Tea & Coffee |
We went on a Saturday night, and it was jam packed. There were 3 other groups of people waiting to be seated. I went in a group of 5, so we have to wait for a 'big' table to be available. We were seated after 15 minutes of waiting: I think that is quite fast considering how people like to sit and chat for a long time.
I really like the ambiance of the place. It gives off a nice antique/classical coffee shop feel. There were some really pretty teacups displayed in the waiting area, as well as some little trinkets here and there. The walls were covered with a lot of pictures in little frames, each consists of pictures that gives off a vintage vibe.
(antique? vintage? haha seems like I can't make up my mind)
I ordered the green bean tofu pudding. You can order it hot or cold and can pick 2'toppings' to go into the drink; keep in mind that 'tofu pudding' is one of the topping. My friend did not know that and her drink came without the tofu pudding so she had to add another topping on.(I can't remember the price, but I think it was $5.95)
It came in a glass mug, but the size of the mug is similar to the size of a rice bowl (at least my rice bowls at home). Definitely worth your money.
One of my friends didn't have enough cash on her (Leisure Tea & Coffee only takes cash) so I had to pay for her share. Our total came to $14 including tax and tips.
Ambiance: (5/5) It's a tiny coffee shop, but the interior gives a very warm vibe.
Food: (4.5/5) The drink is wonderful, but I had a lot of green beans versus a 1:1 ratio of tofu pudding and green beans
Service: (4.5/5) Not too fast, but not too slow, I can't blame them on a Saturday night. When my friend needed to ask a waiter for an add-on of tofu pudding he was very nice about it. Excellent service!
Value: (4.5/5) Decent portion, decent pricing. The quality isn't bad either.
Overall: I will visit again for a fix of dessert here (especially the tofu pudding drink!), as well as try out other things from their menu. The down side to coming here is trying to find a parking spot.
