Ingredients:
marshmallows*
dark chocolate**
sprinkles (decorations)
lollipop sticks (optional)
clear bags with twist ties (optional)
* I used the original size but you can definitely use any size you prefer
** One bar of 100g was enough for me to coat all the marshmallows. I used 70% cocoa which is not too sweet, but not too bitter. I tend to like very dark chocolate, and you have to consider the sweetness of the marshmallows
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl. I used the microwave in 10 seconds-intervals and stirred until it is fully melted.
- Dip a marshmallow into the chocolate and tap off any excess chocolate. For Marshmallow-on-a-stick, dip the tip of the stick with some chocolate gently twist it into a marshmallow. The chocolate helps secure the marshmallow onto the stick.
- Place it onto the lined cookie sheet and add some sprinkles on top.
- Let the chocolate cool and set at room temperature before you put it in the fridge for at least 30-40 minutes. I left mine in the fridge for an hour just to be safe.
- Wrap the individual marshmallows-on-a-stick in a clear bag and secure with a twist tie. OR, place them in a gift box lined with a tissue paper.
This recipe is super easy and you can change it up any way you like!
You know what would be awesome?! Smores-on-a-stick! Just gently crush up some graham crackers and sprinkle that on top instead of sprinkles :)
Tip for cleaning: Using the last few marshmallows, rip them in half and scrape off the leftover chocolate in the bowl. Proceed to enjoy a little reward for your hard work :)
