[REVIEW] La Chocolaterie

La Chocolaterie is a little ganache shop located within a large Japanese marketplace, Izumiya. They are located near Lansdowne Centre and the Richmond Superstore.

I've heard a lot about their (Japanese-style) chocolate/ ganache, so I decided to give it a try.
left: sesame
right: mango

Food: (1/5) Overly sweet. The mango flavor was definitely some sort of mango syrup mixed with white chocolate, and the sesame flavor was mixed with some sort of sesame paste and white chocolate. Because of the syrup, the mango chocolate was slightly mushy; the black sesame chocolate was more solid and tastier (IMO) but I still think it's too sweet. I'm quite disappointed with the chocolate.

Service: (4.5/5) There was one lady there. Service was good. My friend and I were the only customers when we were there.

Ambiance: n/a. We got the chocolate to-go, the little ganache shop is really cute though.

Value: (2/5) Both cups of chocolate costs $5.22 after tax. Each cup consists of 10 pieces of chocolate.

Overall: I will not make another purchase. I don't think the chocolates are worth it. I'm pretty sure they melted some white chocolate and mixed in whatever flavored syrup/ paste.

They also offer some chocolate tarts. Next time I'll try other ganache and their chocolate tarts.
