[REVIEW] Yeti Yogurt - SFU Burnaby Campus

Yay! There's frozen yogurt on SFU campus!! *throws glitter*

I have a weak spot for frozen yogurt- Pinkberry, Qoola, Menchies- you name it!
Now that it's available on campus, located at Cornerstone Buildings, I can grab one anytime I want.

Yeti Yogurt is basically the heavenly self-serve ice cream station (except this is frozen yogurt) at buffets that you always look forward to.

They have tons of different flavors, ranging from sweet, savory chocolate to fresh and fruity. There's always some new flavors coming out, and they are categorized according to 'greek yogurt', 'vegan', 'dairy free' and 'sugar free'- which are conveniently labelled on every flavor name tag (?).

Next, go to the topping station. They have a wide variety of toppings- fresh diced fruits, chocolate chips, and crunchy chocolate pearls. The ingredients are very fresh, which is definitely a big plus!

They also have some sprinkles and syrup near the cash register.

I got the 'abominable white mocha' and 'cookies and creme' frozen yogurt, topped with marshmallows, brownies, crunchy chocolate pearls, mango bursts (yellow), and lychee bursts (white). The mango bursts and lychee bursts are pretty much syrup in a capsule, and it's like eating blueberries.

The frozen yogurt tastes just like their names. Cookies and creme tastes just like the Breyer's ice cream for this flavor (yum!).

As much as I love the mango bursts and lychee bursts, it doesn't taste as great with the savory flavors; they definitely taste better with the fruity frozen yogurt.

I would also like to recommend the green tea flavor and the 'mango tango'. Unfortunately I didn't see 'mango tango' today.

 Food: 5/5

  • ingredients are fresh
  • lots of flavors and toppings to choose from

Service: 4.5/5

Value: 4/5

Ambiance: 4.5/5
  • fun, bright atmosphere
  • It's a small place, so it might get crowded one a hot summer day. They also have some seats outside

Overall: I'll definitely revisit Yeti Yogurt! It's a great hangout place for a frozen yogurt break.

Not only is frozen yogurt a healthier alternative for ice cream, you won't feel as guilty when you eat a big cup of yummy goodness. It's also good for de-stressing purposes ;)
